Abstract
Under the conditions of today headlong changes of circumstances influence the educational content and the way of teaching and learning of all school subjects. Past the time of the obligatory and the elective subjects in the meanstream school. Purpose starts to be the provoking of the pupils’ interests, the increase of motivation, and the self-dependent and purposeful acquisition of knowledge and skills. This concerns teachers of all school subjects including the PE teachers as well.
This paper is addressed to the creativity of the physical education teachers in order to help them to cope with the needs of the pupils in the contemporary school. Comparison of the way of education and the gathered competences of the future PE teachers and the general teachers and their competences in PE education at the NSA and someof the Bulgarian universities is done.
Comparison in the offered knowledge, skills and competences to the PE teachers in Bulgaria and the other European countries is also done. Some lacks of the Bulgarian system that reflects the educational content was found.
